Helen Reavey triumphs at Visionary Awards 2010

The Irish Final for the Hairdressing Visionary Awards 2010 took place at the Button Factory in Dublin’s Templebar on July 12th. The highly contested awards embrace artistic hairdressers and recognise their talent and vision. 15 stylists from across the country competed for the prestige of showcasing their designs in London’s Royal Albert Hall in October.
The golden girl on the night was Peter Mark Dundrum’s senior stylist, Helen Reavey, topping the Avant Garde category with her interpretation of Masquerade. Her Spanish design was created by meshing the model’s hair with synthetic hair to form a lace effect. The result was inspiring; she transformed a classic look with alternative hair into something unique.

“I am delighted to be awarded first place and am so excited to be heading to London to present my look. It is an absolute honour and privilege to be representing Peter Mark and Ireland on a world stage”, said Helen Reavey.

Buy My Dress raises €60,000 for the Down Syndrome Centre

This year’s Buy My Dress, which is run as a fantastic fundraiser by the Down Syndrome Centre, was a three venue affair with mega dress sales in Dublin, Cork and Galway. Over 4,000 dresses were donated and Peter Mark was delighted to play a part in the event by acting as a drop off point for people who had cleared out their closet! Between the three sales, €60,000 was raised which is an incredible achievement. Our congratulations to all who worked so hard to bring these events together and thanks to our salon teams and clients for getting involved.
