The Petermarkathon fundraising campaign started in 2011 in our fiftieth year, with Make a Wish and since then has raised over €800k for our amazing charity partners.
The purpose of the Petermarkathon is to raise as much money as possible while raising awareness of the services and incredible work of each of our charity partners over the dedicated fundraising weekend, which usually takes place in October of each year.
Each Peter Mark salon creates its own individual and unique way to raise money, so visitors to their local salon can expect pyjama parties, fancy dress, raffles, games and many other fun-filled events over the course of the fundraising weekend.
Peter Mark is proud to announce our charity partner for 2023, Barnardos.
Previous charity partners include Temple Street Children's hospital, Irish heart foundation, ISPCC/NSPCC, Aware, Alzheimers society of Ireland and many more.
🌿Our Commitment to a Greener Future🌿
At Peter Mark we're not only dedicated to crafting beautiful hairstyles, but also to nurturing a beautiful planet. In 2022 we embarked on a journey towards sustainability, focusing on water, waste, and energy conservation.
💧 Water: We are currently piloting new shower head technology yielding remarkable results of up to 45% less water usage. This new technology & eco-friendly fixture ensures every drop counts, without compromising on your salon experience. We hope to roll this out across our salon group in 2024.
♻️ Waste: We believe in a world where every snip contributes to a cleaner, greener environment. Nothing finds its way to landfill. Collaborating closely with our waste management partners, we're amplifying recycling efforts across all our locations.
⚡ Energy: We are taking strides towards a more energy-efficient salon by installing LED lighting. Along with this and heating less water it means fabulous styles with a lighter environmental footprint.
